FAQs

Is Angry Doctor a real doctor?

You bet! Angry Doctor was founded by Dr. Howard Webster, a practicing plastic surgeon based out of Melbourne, Australia with over 30 years’ experience in the medical industry.

Is Angry Doctor vegan and cruelty-free?

Our products aren’t tested on animals and to the best of our knowledge, all products are vegan. While we believe there are no animal derived ingredients in our products, given there’s a complex international chain of manufacturing and sourcing of ingredients, we can’t make this statement with 100% certainty.

Is Angry Doctor Australian made?

Angry Doctor products are Australian made and owned, however, some ingredients are sourced from overseas. Rest assured we work closely with all our suppliers to ensure all the ingredients are of the highest quality.

Is ‘retinal’ the same as ‘retinol’?

Like retinol, which you might be familiar with, retinal is a derivative of vitamin A. The benefits of both retinol and retinal are pretty much the same, but it’s more the speed in which each product works that is the difference. Retinal works much faster to help increase skin cell turnover, making it more effective at stimulating collagen but without the associated irritation that normally comes with retinol. Long story, short – retinal works harder and faster to tackle the signs of ageing, sans making your skin unhappy.

How long will my order take to arrive?

We pack our orders pretty quickly, so standard shipping should arrive within 2-7 business days, and express post should arrive between 1-4 days.

My order hasn’t arrived, what do I do?

If your order hasn’t arrived within a week, drop us a line at info@angrydoctor.co

Can I change or cancel my order once I’ve placed it?

If you need to change your order, please contact us as info@angrydoctor.co with your order details as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to assist if the product hasn’t been shipped. Check out our returns policy here.

Can I use Angry Doctor if I have sensitive skin?

Our products shouldn’t irritate your skin, however, if you’ve got particularly sensitive skin, there’s always a chance you might have a reaction. We’d recommend using Morning Bright Light and Young Night Light, plus Clean Right cleanser. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to info@angrydoctor.co - we’d be happy to help you out.

Can I use Angry Doctor if I have eczema?

Actives and eczema aren’t the best of friends, sadly. We don’t recommend using anything with active ingredients in them if you experience eczema - it may cause irritation or a flare up.

Do your products contain “nasties”?

We leave out any ingredients where there’s a rational concern about safety – which means, we not only exclude ingredients like parabens, sulfates and phthalate, but we also exclude lots of commonly used preservatives, scents and emulsifiers.

When do the Angry Doctor products expire?

You’ll notice our bottles are airless, this means they don’t have a set expiry date once opened. That’s not the only great thing about airless bottles – by keeping them airtight, all those lovely active ingredients effective and stable so they can do their best work.

How do the 50ml bottles work?

Our bottles are twist tops, so you need to twist the white cap at the top to open. Our bottles are also airless, which means you might need to hold them upright and pump a few times during your first use to get them going.

Is your packaging environmentally friendly?

We try to minimise our environmental footprint and where possible use recyclable materials. You can take your empty bottles to anywhere that accepts TerraCycle – most Priceline stores and every MECCA store does.

I’ve used Vitamin A before and it’s irritated my skin - will Young Night do the same?

The form of Vitamin A we use (retinal) is extremely effective but has really low rates of irritation (less than 1%). It’s not drying and doesn’t typically cause side effects that you may have experienced with other forms of vitamin A like redness or sensitivity.

My product arrived damaged or has other issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please note that due to the airless nature of the bottles, sometimes they need to be held vertically and pumped 5-10 times before first use only.
